Some lovely words…

“Emma & Pete asked me to write a review for them – my initial reaction was that I didn’t want to. Because I didn’t know if I could find the words to express how utterly amazing their work is and I truly wanted to do them justice. But, with my thesaurus open, reading all of the synonyms for “divine”, here I go… 

You should chose Emma & Pete to be your photographers just so that you can have them at your wedding – these two bring ALL of the fun. Individually they are awesome and together they are INCREDIBLE. Their talent, professionalism,  wedding wisdom, positive vibes and ability to make you feel dreamy (not to mention entirely at ease) makes them an unstoppable force. They just SO desperately want to make your day brilliant – and they do, they totally do.

Emma was with me getting ready – she felt like part of the crew (actually, Em – do you want to be my friend?!) – giving me the heads up as to what was next and how the mood might evolve, all the while apparently taking photos (though we hardly noticed). Em has this unparalleled ability to make you feel warm inside – her smile just relaxes (and melts) you and you know that you’re in very safe hands. She also worked her charm on our vicar who was 10/10 reluctant to allow photos from the front of the church – Em had an unprecedented victory (and we are super grateful), she is just THAT good – above and beyond.

Pete was with Charles and his squad of chaps – I’m pretty sure that Charles would’ve asked Pete to be a groomsman if there’d been a spare buttonhole going – and he managed to capture all the character of each of them in EVERY SINGLE photo. This guy is a rock star.

At the reception they combined forces – with no intrusion whatsoever, they gracefully executed their mandate. They felt like part of the family and their enthusiasm was truly infectious throughout. We really were mighty sad to let them go at the end of the night.

Now, a few weeks on, and we have received the most BEAUTIFUL wedding photos –  wow, just WOW. These photos are superb – mind-blowing – they capture the tone of the day, every detail and make us (and our guests) look perfectly amazing! Through Em & Pete’s work, we can relive our special day whenever we want to and that’s such a priceless feeling. We genuinely love each and every picture.

It’s funny looking back, because we found it so difficult to choose a wedding photographer – the more and more we looked, the harder and harder it became to work out what we were really looking for. We were in such a muddle that we reached out to a photographer friend who gave us this very sage advice: “the main thing is that you get on with your photographer – you won’t get the best out of the day if the person annoys you” - and then she pointed us in the direction of Em & Pete by saying “these are the guys I would hire to photograph my own wedding”, and when a professional photographer recommends a wedding photographer, you go with it... Anyway, one skype session later and we were SOLD – all of our worries evaporated instantaneously and we merrily continued down Wedding Planning Avenue knowing that we had the main bit nailed. 

In short (you know, after I’ve already written chapter and verse): Em & Pete were a total wedding day highlight for us and have captured the most wonderful memories in the most stunning way – choosing them was the best wedding decision we made (other than to marry each other and to have an open bar) - a total triumph. I can’t recommend them highly enough and I PROMISE that you will be saying the same after your own wedding. In fact, we are already seeking out another opportunity to hire them… thinking caps are firmly on.”
